Selecting the Dialing Mode
You can program the dialing mode with the base unit.
If you have touch tone service, set to “Tone”. If rotary or pulse service is
used, set to “Pulse”. Your phone comes from the factory set to “Tone”.
Make sure the base unit is in the standby mode initially.

Press (*) three times.
•A beep sounds, POWER and IN USE indicators
flash quickly on the base unit.

To select “Tone”, press (7) repeatedly until the IN USE
indicator lights.
T
o select “Pulse”, press (7) repeatedly until the IN USE
indicator light goes off.
•Each time you press (7), the IN USE indicator
will light up or go off alternately.

Press (#).
•A beep sounds.
•You can exit the programming mode any time by pressing
(*).
•If you do not press any buttons for 15 seconds, the unit will return to the standby
mode.
