Note:
L If the other handset user does not answer the
call within 1 minute, the call rings at your
handset again.
Answering a transferred call
Press {C} to answer the page.
Note:
L After the paging party disconnects, you can talk
to the outside caller.
Intercom features between
the handset and base unit
Intercom
Intercom calls can be made between the handset
and base unit.
Note:
L If you receive an outside call while talking on the
intercom, you hear interrupt tones (page 27, 33).
To answer the call with the handset, press
{OFF}, then press {C}.
To answer the call with the base unit, place
the corded handset on the cradle, then lift it
again. If the speakerphone is used, press
{SP-PHONE} 2 times.
L When paging the handset, the paged handset
beeps for 1 minute.
Making an intercom call
1 {MENU} (center of joystick)
2 {V}/{^}: Intercom i {SELECT}
3 {V}/{^}: Select the desired unit. i {CALL}
L To stop paging, press {OFF}.
4 When you finish talking, press {OFF}.
1 Press {j}{k} or {ALL}.
L Lift the corded handset if needed.
L To stop paging, press the same button.
2 When you finish talking, press {SP-PHONE}
or place the corded handset on the cradle.
Answering an intercom call
1 Press {C} to answer the page.
2 When you finish talking, press {OFF}.
1 Lift the corded handset or press {SP-PHONE}
to answer the page.
2 When you finish talking, place the corded
handset on the cradle or press {SP-PHONE}.
Answering an intercom call using auto
intercom
Before using the auto intercom, turn auto intercom
on (page 44).
1 When you are paged by the base unit, speak
into the microphone.
L To switch to the receiver, press {C}.
2 To end the intercom, press {OFF}.
Monitoring audio in a room using auto
intercom
You can listen to the sound in a room where the
handset is located using the auto intercom.
Important:
L Before using this feature, set auto intercom on
the destination handset to On (Ringer
Off) to allow access by the base unit.
1 Call the destination handset (page 45).
L You can listen to the audio.
2 To mute your sound output, press {MUTE} if
necessary.
3 To stop monitoring, press {SP-PHONE} or
place the corded handset on the cradle.
