Answering system
The 2nd caller’s
information is not displayed
during an outside call.
LIn order to use Caller ID, Call Waiting, or Call
Waiting Caller ID (CWID), you must first contact
your service provider/telephone company and
subscribe to the desired service.
After subscribing, you may need to contact your
service provider/telephone company again to
activate this specific service, even if you already
subscribed to both Caller ID and Call Waiting
with Caller ID services (CWID).
Problem Cause/solution
The unit does not record
new messages.
LThe answering system is off. Turn it on (page
30).
LThe message memory is full. Erase
unnecessary messages (page 31).
LIf you subscribe to the voice mail service,
messages are recorded by your service
provider/telephone company not your
telephone. Change the unit’s “Ring count
setting or consult your service provider/
telephone company (page 35).
I cannot operate the
answering system with the
handset.
LThe base unit or another handset is being used.
Wait for the other user to finish.
LA caller is leaving a message. Wait for the caller
to finish.
LThe handset is too far from the base unit. Move
closer.
When I try to operate the
answering system with the
base unit, the ANSWER
ON indicator on the base
unit flashes for a few
seconds and I cannot
operate the answering
system.
LAnother handset is being used. Wait for the
other user to finish.
LA caller is leaving a message. Wait for the caller
to finish.
