Room monitor
This feature allows you to monitor the
room where a unit is located. The
monitored unit does not ring, allowing you
to easily monitor a baby’s room, for
example, from different areas of the
house.
Note:
LYou can place the handset on the base
unit or charger while monitoring using
the speakerphone.
Setting room monitor
To use the room monitor feature, you need
to set the destination unit to be monitored
beforehand.
–“Off” (Default): denies access from
other units.
–“On”: allows the unit to be monitored.
Turn on/off the handset’s room monitor
feature
1 {MENU} i {0}{9}
2 Select the desired setting.
3 {SAVE} i {OFF}
Turn on/off the base unit’s room
monitor feature
1 {MENU} i {0}{*}{3}
2 Select the desired setting.
3 {SAVE} i {OFF}
Monitoring a room
Important:
LBefore using this feature, set room
monitor of the destination unit to “On” to
allow access by other units.
LIf you receive an outside call while
monitoring a room, you hear 2 tones
(page 37). To answer the call with the
handset, press {LINE1} or {LINE2} that
is flashing on the handset. To answer the
call with the base unit, press {LINE1} or
{LINE2} that is flashing on the base unit.
1 {INTERCOM} i {MONITOR}
2 To page the base unit, press {0}.
To page another handset, enter its
extension number ({1} – {8}).
LYou can listen to the audio.
3 Press {OFF} to stop monitoring.
