Registering a unit
Registering a handset to the
base unit
The supplied handset and base unit are
pre-registered. If for some reason the
handset is not registered to the base unit
(for example, w flashes even when the
handset is near the base unit), re-
register the handset.
1 Handset:
8 (middle soft key)

4 Base unit:
Proceed with the operation for your
model.
■ KX-TG6411/KX-TG6412/
KX-TG6413
Press and hold {x} for about 5
seconds. (No registration tone)
■ KX-TG6421
Press and hold {x} for about 5
seconds, until the registration
tone sounds.
L If all registered handset(s) start(s)
ringing, press the same button to
stop. Then repeat this step.
L The next step must be completed
within 90 seconds.
5 Handset:
Wait until “Base PIN” is displayed.
i Enter the base unit PIN (default:
“0000”). i M
L If you forget your PIN, contact
your nearest Panasonic service
centre.
L When the handset has been
registered successfully, w stops
flashing.
Deregistering a handset
A handset can cancel its own
registration (or the registration of
another handset) that is stored to the
base unit. This allows the handset to end
its wireless connection with the system.

L The numbers of all handsets
registered to the base unit are
displayed.
5 Select the handset(s) you want to
cancel by pressing the desired
handset number. i M
L The selected handset number(s)
flashes.
L To cancel a selected handset
number, press the number again.
The number stops flashing.
6 {V}/{^}: “Yes” i M
L A confirmation tone sounds as
each handset number
disappears.
L The handset does not beep when
cancelling its own registration.

Increasing the range of the
base unit
You can increase the signal range of the
base unit by using a DECT repeater.
Please use only the Panasonic DECT
repeater noted on page 4. Contact your
Panasonic dealer for details.
