2. PresstheMODE buttonuntilthe Scanicon,CTCSSicon andthesmall numbersflashon thedisplay.
3. PresstheCHANNEL UPorCHANNEL DOWNbuttonto beginscanningCTCSS privacycodeswithin the
channel youselected.
The Scaniconwill continuetobe displayedwhenCTCSS privacycodescan isOn.Your radiowill
continue toscanCTCSS privacycodesand stopasan incomingtransmissionis detected.Yourradio willremainon that
channel/privacy codefor10 seconds.
While settingCTCSSprivacy codescan,if youdonot pressanybuttons for15seconds, yourradiowill automaticallyreturnto LISTENINGMODEon
the channel/privacycodethat wasdisplayedbefore youenteredMode Functions.
DuringAnIncomingTransmission,YouCanChooseFromTheFollowing:
a. Press andholdthe TALKbutton tocommunicateon thatchannel/privacycode. Yourradiowill remain onthat channel/privacycodeand
return toLISTENING MODE.
b. Press theCHANNELUP orCHANNELDOWN buttontoresume scanningCTCSSprivacy codes.
If youpressthe TALKbutton whilescanningand notwithin10 secondsofreceiving atransmission,you willtransmiton thechannel/privacycode
on whichyoulast receivedatransmission. Thiswillreturn theradio toLISTENINGMODE.
If youdonot pressanybutton within10seconds, yourradiowill automaticallyresumescanning CTCSSprivacycodes.
DuringScanning(whilenotreceivinga transmission),YouCanChooseFromThe Following:
a. Press andholdthe TALKbutton tocommunicateon eitherthechannel orchannel/privacycode thatwasdisplayed beforeyouenteredMode
Functions orchannel/privacycode onwhich,during scanning,youlast receivedatransmission. Thiswillreturn theradioto LISTENING
MODE.
b. Press theMODEbutton toproceedto nextavailableMode Function.
c. Pressthe LOCKbuttonto returntoLISTENING MODEoneither thechannelor channel/privacycodethat wasdisplayedbefore youentered
Mode Functionsorthe channel/privacycodeon which,duringscanning, youlastreceived atransmission.
