1. PresstheMODE buttonuntilthe VOXiconflashes andthecurrent sensitivity
level isdisplayed.
Thecurrentsensitivitylevelisdisplayedwiththeletter“L”andanumber1to5,
5beingthemostsensitiveleveland1beingtheleastsensitivelevel.
2. PresstheCHANNEL UPorCHANNEL DOWNbuttonto changethesetting.
3. WhenyourdesiredVOX sensitivitylevelis displayed,chooseone ofthefollowing:
a. Press theMODEbutton toenterthe newsettingand proceedtoother functions.
b. PresstheLOCK buttontoenter thenewsetting andreturn toLISTENINGMODE.
c. Do not pressanybuttons for15 seconds toenter thenewsetting andreturnto LISTENINGMODE.

ToScan Channels:
1. PresstheMODE buttonuntilthe Scaniconand thechannelnumber flashonthe display.
2. PresstheCHANNEL UPorCHANNEL DOWNbuttonto beginscanningchannels.
The Scaniconwill continuetobe displayedwhenchannel scanisOn. Yourradiowill continuetoscan allchannels
and stopifan incomingtransmissionis detected.Yourradio willremainon thatchannelfor 10seconds.
While settingchannelscan, ifyoudo notpressany buttonsfor15 seconds,yourradio willautomatically
return toLISTENING MODEonthe channelorchannel/privacy codedisplayedbeforeyou enteredModeFunctions.
DuringAnIncomingTransmission,YouCanChooseFromTheFollowing:
a. Pressandhold theTALK buttontocommunicate onthatchannel. Yourradiowill remainonthat channelandreturn toLISTENING MODE.
b. Press theCHANNELUP orCHANNELDOWN buttontoresume scanningchannels.
If youpressthe TALKbutton whilescanningand notwithin10 secondsofreceiving atransmission,you willtransmiton thechannelon whichyou
last receivedatransmission. Thiswillreturn theradioto LISTENINGMODE.
If youdonot pressanybutton within10seconds, yourradiowill automaticallyresumescanning channels.
DuringScanning(whilenotreceivinga transmission),YouCanChooseFromThe Following:
a. Press andholdthe TALKbutton tocommunicateon eitherthechannel orchannel/privacycode thatwasdisplayed beforeyouenteredMode
Functions orthechannel onwhich,during scanning,youlast receivedatransmission. Thiswillreturn theradioto LISTENINGMODE.
b. Press theMODEbutton toproceedto setprivacycode onthechannel thatwaseither displayedbeforeyou entered ModeFunctions oron
which, duringscanning,you lastreceiveda transmission(see“CTCSS PrivacyCodeScan” or“DCSPrivacy CodeScan”for furtherdetails).
c. Press the LOCKbuttonto returnto LISTENINGMODEon eitherthechannel orchannel/privacycode thatwasdisplayed beforeyouentered
