ToScan DCSPrivacyCodes:
1. Whileinthe LISTENINGMODE,press theCHANNELUPorCHANNELDOWNbutton tochoosethe
channel onwhichyou wishtoscan theDCSprivacy codes.
2. PresstheMODE buttonuntilthe SCANicon,DCSicon andthesmall numbersnextto thechannel
number flashonthe display.
3. PresstheCHANNELUP orCHANNELDOWNbutton tobeginscanning DCSprivacycodes withinthe
channel youselected.
The scaniconwill continuetobe displayedwhenDCS privacycodescan isON.Your radiowillcontinue
to scanDCSprivacy codesandstop whenanincoming transmissionisdetected. Theradiowill remainonthat
channel/privacy codefor10 seconds.
While settingDCSprivacycode scan,ifyou donotpress anybuttonsfor 15seconds,your radiowillautomatically returntoLISTENING MODEon
the channel/privacycodethat wasdisplayedbefore youenteredmore functions.
DuringScanning(WhileReceivinganIncoming Transmission),YouCan ChoosefromtheFollowing:
a. Pressandhold theTALKbutton tocommunicateon thatchannel/privacycode. Yourradiowill remainonthat channel/privacycodeand
return toLISTENINGMODE.
b. Press theCHANNELUPorCHANNELDOWN buttontoresume scanningDCSprivacycodes.
If youpressthe TALKbuttonwhile scanningandnot within10seconds ofreceivinga transmission,youwill transmitonthe channel/privacycode
on whichyoulast receivedatransmission. Thiswillreturn theradio toLISTENINGMODE.
DuringScanning(WhileNotReceivingan IncomingTransmission),YouCanChoosefromtheFollowing:
a. Press channel/privacy codethat wasdisplayedbefore youenteredMode Functionsorchannel/privacy code onwhich, duringscanning,you
last receivedatransmission. Thiswillreturn theradioto theLISTENINGMODE. Pressandhold theTALKbutton tocommunicateon either
the channelorchannel MODE.
b. Press theMODEbuttontoproceed tonextavailable ModeFunction.
c. Pressthe LOCKbuttonto returntoLISTENINGMODE oneitherthe channelorchannel/privacy codethatwas displayedbeforeyou entererd
Mode Functionsorthe channel/privacycodeon which,duringscanning, youlastreceived atransmission.
