Cannot register a handset to a base
n You can register a total of 5 handsets to your BT Freestyle
6300 base and you can register your BT Freestyle 6300
handset to up to 4 bases. Check that you have not
exceeded these limits.
n Check that you have entered the correct base security
PIN (default: 0000). See page 47.
n Check that you are at least one metre away from other
electrical equipment to avoid interference when registering.
Base unit does not ring, but the lights are on
n Have you connected the telephone line correctly?
n Is the base ringer set to off? See page 45.
n You may have a faulty line or socket. Try using another
socket or line.
Buzzing noise on my phone or on other electrical
equipment nearby
n Sometimes your BT Freestyle 6300 can interfere with
other electrical equipment if it is placed too close.
Move it at least one metre away from such appliances.
