Many common problems are caused by the telephone
and power cables being incorrectly connected, not
connected at all, or the power being turned off.
Please check that your BT Freestyle 6300 has been
correctly set up, see page 6, before ringing the
BT Freestyle Helpline.
Replacing the handset batteries
After time, you may find that the handset batteries are
running out of charge more quickly. This is a standard
sign of wear and the batteries will need replacing.
New batteries should be AAA size, Rechargeable Nickel
Metal Hydride (NiMH), capacity 550mAh.
1. Press down on the top of the battery compartment cover
and slide it off. See illustration on page 7.
2. Remove the old batteries and replace with 2 new ones,
then replace the battery compartment cover.
No display
n The batteries may be flat, dead or incorrectly inserted.
Recharge or replace the batteries.
