Press the Handsfree key to activate the
built-in speaker and microphone of the
Avaya 1165E IP Deskphone.
The Handsfree LED indicator on the
Handsfree key lights to indicate when
handsfree is active.
Use the Navigation keys to scroll through
menus and lists that appear on the LCD
display screen or for text entry. The outer
part of this key cluster rocks for up, down,
left, and right movements. For more
information, see “Navigation keys” on
page 44.
Use Enter, at the center of the Navigation
keys cluster, to select menu items or to
confirm changes.
In most menus, you can use Enter instead of
the Select soft key.
Press the Hold key to put an active call on
hold. Tap the flashing line key to return to the
caller on hold.
Press the Expand key to access the Instant
Messaging Log.
Note: This feature requires an External
Application Server.
