Answering system operation
Delete all messages
You can only delete old (reviewed) messages. You cannot delete new messages until
you review them. You cannot retrieve deleted messages.
To delete all messages with the telephone base:
Press X/DELETE when the phone is not in use. The system announces, “To delete all
old messages, press DELETE again.”
Press X/DELETE immediately. The system announces, “All old messages deleted.
If you do not have old messages, the system announces, “You have no old message.
To delete all messages with a handset or the telephone base:
Press MENU when the phone is not in use.
Press /CIDCID or / to scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Press /CIDCID or / to scroll to Delete all old, then press SELECT. The screen
displays Delete all msg? If you do not have old messages, the screen displays
No old messages.
Press SELECT to conrm your selection. The screen displays Deleting ... and then
No old messages. You hear a conrmation tone.
Record, play or delete memos
Memos are your own recorded messages used as reminders for yourself or others
using the same answering system. Play and delete them in the same way as
incoming messages.
To record a memo:
Press MENU when the phone is not in use.
Press /CIDCID or / to scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Press
/CIDCID or /
to scroll to Record memo, then press SELECT. The screen
displays Recording... Stop [5] and the device announces,
“Record after the tone.
Press 5 when you are done.”
Speak towards the handset microphone after the tone.
Press 5 or CANCEL when you nish recording. The device announces,
“Recorded.”
If you record a memo when the answering system memory is full, the system
announces, “Memory is full.
Each memo can be up to three minutes in length and memos shorter than two seconds
are not recorded.
When the answering system has less than three minutes of recording time left, the
system announces, “Less than three minutes to record,” and displays Rec mem low.
