Earpiece and speaker volume
Pressing the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as
/vol/
or
/vol/
key)
during a call will change the earpiece volume of the handset. This setting will remain in
effect after the telephone call has ended.
When you press volume up key (ring/vol/) in the maximum volume level or volume down key
(ring/vol/) in the lowest volume level, an error tone sounds.
Ringer Mute
You can temporarily mute the incoming ring. When the handset is off the cradle and the
phone is ringing, press
end
. The incoming ring will return to the previous setting starting
with the next incoming call.
Adjusting the Base Ringer Vo lume and Speaker Volume
Base ringer volume
In standby mode, press
ring/volume/
or
ring/volume/
on the base to select one of four
base ringer volume settings (High, Medium, Low, and Off). Each time
ring/volume/
or
ring/volume/
is pressed, the volume setting is changed. You will hear the current ringer
volume revel. You have four ringer volume options. One allows you to turn the base ringer
off. The other three are volume levels. You can also adjust the volume when the phone is
ringing by pressing
ring/volume/
or
ring/volume/
.
Speaker volume
When the base speaker is in use, press
ring/volume/
or
ring/volume/
on the base to adjust
the volume. Press
ring/volume/
for louder or
ring/volume/
for softer. Press and hold
ring/
volume/
or
ring/volume/
on the base to scroll quickly through the volume levels.
•If you select Off
,
the
ringer off LED on the
base will be illuminate.
Standby Mode - The
handset is not in use
and talk/flash has
not been pressed.
