If you still have problems, disconnect the ET-1118. If other phones on the same line
work properly, the fault is in this phone or its installation. If you cannot find the prob-
lem, take your ET-1118 to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
The handset battery pack does not charge. Check the charging contacts on the handset
and base. If they are dirty, clean them with a
pencil eraser.
Be sure the battery pack is properly con-
nected.
Be sure the handset is properly seated on
the base.
Replace the battery pack (see “Replacing
the Battery Pack” on Page 28).
The handset does not ring or receive a
page.
Lift the base’s antenna to a fully vertical
position.
Move the handset closer to the base.
Move the base away from other electrical
devices.
Recharge the battery pack.
You have an incoming call, but do not
receive any Caller ID information.
Let the phone ring twice before you answer
so the system has time to record the Caller
ID information.
Check that the system is correctly and
securely connected.
Call your phone company to verify that your
Caller ID service is active.
