Troubleshooting Your Phone
This chapter presents problems, likely causes, and corrective actions.

If you still need assistance, contact your system administrator.
Power and Startup
Symptom Problem Corrective Action
There are power issues. The Polycom CX300 desktop
phone has no power.
Do one of the following steps:
• Verify that no lights appear on the unit
when it is powered up.
• Verify that the USB port provides
power.
• Try the phone in another USB port
where the power is known to be
working.
Note: The phone will not work if it is
connected to bus-powered USB hub.
The handset appears to be fine,
but there is no interaction
between the handset and the
Microsoft Office Communicator
2007 R2 client.
There may be problems with
your Microsoft Office
Communicator 2007 R2 client
software or with the Microsoft
Office Communications Server
2007 software.
Contact your system administrator to
ensure your account is configured
properly and that your Microsoft Office
Communicator 2007 R2 client software
and the Microsoft Office Communications
Server 2007 software are properly
installed and configured.
