Telephone answering machine (TAM)
1 Press m in idle mode, scroll n to
ANSW MACHINE and press
o.
2 PLAY is displayed. Press o to
start playing new messages.
The handset displays NEW and
the number of new messages in
the format 1/4, where 1 is the
number of the message being
played and 4 is the number of
new messages.
If there are no new messages, the
handset displays the number of
old messages in the same format
(however ‘NEW’ is not
displayed.) and plays the old
messages.
If Caller Line Identification (CLI)
is available (subscription
dependent), press c during
playback to see the caller’s
number and the date and time
information.
Functions available during playback
During playback, you can enable the
following functions by pressing o. Use
n to scroll between the functions. Press
o to select the function.
8.2 Delete all messages
Deleted messages cannot be recovered.
Unread messages will not be deleted.
1 Press m in idle mode, scroll n to
ANSW MACHINE and press
o.
2 PLAY is displayed. Scroll n to
DELETE ALL and press o.
3 CONFIRM? is displayed on the
screen. Press o again to confirm
deletion of all your messages.
A validation tone is emitted and
the screen returns to previous
menu.
8.3 Turn the Answering Machine
ON/OFF
You can turn the answering machine on
or off from the handset as follows.
1 Press m in idle mode, scroll n to
ANSW MACHINE and press
o.
2 PLAY is displayed. Scroll n to
ANSW. ON/OFF and press o.
3 The current status is displayed.
Scroll n to select ON or OFF and
press o.
A validation tone is emitted and
the screen returns to previous
menu.
REPEAT Replay the current
message
NEXT Listen to the next
message.
PREVIOUS Listen to the previous
message.
DELETE Delete the message
currently playing.
VIEW View the date and time
the message was
received.
