NOTE:IfyouareusingaDCScode,bothradiosmustbeturnedtothesamechannelandDCSprivacy
codetocommunicate.Eachchannelwillrememberthelastcodeyouselected.
ToSelectaDCSPrivacyCode:
1. Afterselectinga channel,pressand releasetheMODEbutton untiltheDCS iconflasheson the
display. Inadditionto theDCSicon, eitherOFFor thesmallnumbers nexttothe channel
number willflashon thedisplay.
2. IfDCSand OFFareflashing, presstheCHANNELUP orCHANNELDOWN buttontoexit OFFand
proceed toselecta privacycode;or,ifDCS andthesmall numbersnextto thechannelnumber are
flashing, presstheCHANNELUP orCHANNELDOWNbutton toselecta privacycode.
3. Whenyourdesired privacycodeis displayed,chooseone ofthefollowing:
a. Press theMODEbutton toenterthe newsettingand proceedtoother functions.
b. Press theLOCKbutton toenterthe newsettingand returntoLISTENING MODE.
c. Do notpressany buttonsfor15 secondstoenter thenewsetting andreturn toLISTENINGMODE.

volume ofyourvoice andavoidtransmissions triggeredbybackground noise.
ToTurnVOXModeOnorOff:
1. PresstheMODE button untilthe VOXiconflasheson thedisplay.The currentOn orOffsetting isdisplayed.
2. PresstheCHANNELUP orCHANNEL DOWNbuttonto turnVOXOn orOff.
3. Whenyourdesired VOXModesetting isdisplayed,choose oneofthe following:
a. Press theMODEbutton toenterthe newsettingand proceedtoother functions.
b. Press theLOCKbutton toenterthe newsettingand returntoLISTENING MODE.
