Base display
The base display shows symbols relative to your
answering machine and the table below provides an
explanation of what these symbols mean.
Setting up the answering machine
Symbol Definition
(Blank) Power off.
C-0 (flashing) Day/Time needs to be set.
0-9 Answer-on mode, 0-9 messages.
9 (flashing) 10-59 messages. Indicates when more than
9 messages are stored.
– alternating with 0-9 Power on, but set to answer off mode.
The display flashes between a dash and the
number of messages saved in the memory.
A (flashing) Handset menu or Remote access in use.
E (flashing) Error.
F (flashing) Memory full.
P (flashing) Message paused.
P-1: Alternating When selecting or playing Answer & Record
between P & 1 outgoing message.
P-2: Alternating When selecting or playing Answer Only
between P & 2 outgoing message.
r (flashing) Message recording (memo, outgoing
message or incoming message).
t or 2 to 9 Setting or reading answer delay.
8-0 Counting down.
C-0 (flashing)
This appears intially to alert you to
set the day and time, i.e. when
first setting up the product or in
the event of a power loss.
