S Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) and bat-
tery (12 V)to the speed sensor coupler as
shown.
S Speed sensor coupler (speed sensor side)

Replace the fuel
sender.
S Is the fuel sender OK?
3. Fuel meter
S Drain the fuel and remove the fuel sender from
the fuel tank.
S Connect the fuel sender to wireharness.
S Move the float to “UP” or “DOWN” .
YES NO
Replace the fuel meter
S Turn the main switch to “ON”.
S Check the fuel gauge needle moves “F” or “E”.

4. Voltage
Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the meter
assembly coupler (wire harness side) as shown.
Tester positive probe ! Brown
Tester negative probe ! Green/Red

S Set the main switch to “ON”.
S Measure the voltage (12 V).
S Is the voltage within specification?
YES NO
The wiring circuit from
the main switch to the
meter assembly cou-
pler is faulty and must
be repaired.
This circuit is OK.
