terminalequipment.Aplugandjackused
toconnectthisequipmenttothepremises
wiringandtelephonenetworkmustcomply
withtheapplicableFCCPart68rulesand
requirementsadoptedbytheACTA.A
complianttelephonecordandmodularplug
isprovidedwiththisproduct.Itisdesigned
tobeconnectedtoacompatiblemodular
jackthatisalsocompliant.Seeinstallation
instructionsfordetails.
TheRENisusedtodeterminethenumber
ofdevicesthatmaybeconnectedtoaphone
line.ExcessiveRENsonaphonelinemay
resultindevicesnotringinginresponsetoan
incomingcall.Inmostbutnotallareas,the
sumofRENsshouldnotexceedfive(5.0).
Tobecertainofthenumberofdevicesthat
maybeconnectedtoaline,asdetermined
bythetotalRENs,contactthetelephone
provider.TheRENforthisproductis
partoftheproductidentifierthathasthe
formatUS:AAAEQ##TXXXX.Thedigits
representedby##aretheRENwithouta
decimalpoint(e.g.,03isaRENof0.3).
Ifthisequipmentcausesharmtothe
telephonenetwork,thetelephonecompany
willnotifyyouinadvancethattemporary
discontinuanceofservicemayberequired.
Butifadvancenoticeisn'tpractical,the
telephonecompanywillnotifythecustomer
assoonaspossible.Also,youwillbeadvised
ofyourrighttofileacomplaintwiththeFCC
ifyoubelieveitisnecessary.Thetelephone
companymaymakechangesinitsfacilities,
equipment,operationsorproceduresthat
couldaffecttheoperationoftheequipment.
Ifthishappensthetelephonecompanywill
provideadvancenoticeinorderforyouto
makenecessarymodificationstomaintain
uninterruptedservice.

Anychangesormodificationstothisproduct
notexpresslyapprovedbythemanufacturer
orotherpartyresponsibleforcompliance
couldvoidyourauthoritytooperatethis
