GENERAL INFORMATION
If the power fails
You will still be able to make and receive telephone
calls on your Paragon 400 Plus even if the mains
power fails and there is no back-up battery
installed. However, the answering machine will
not work until the mains power is restored.
How many phones can you have?
All items of telephone equipment have a Ringer

calculate the number of items which may be
connected to any one telephone line. The Paragon
400 Plus has a REN of 1. Any other instrument
provided by BT may be assumed to have a REN
of 1 unless otherwise stated. A total REN of 4 is
