Switchboard external line access code
You may need to enter an access code (e.g. 9) in order to
get an outside line. So that the switchboard has time to pick
up an outside line, you may also need to add a Pause after
the access code.
Setting pauses
To insert a pause in a stored number
With some switchboards, after dialling the access
code you may have to wait for a moment while the
switchboard picks up an outside line
If so, press the REDIAL/PAUSE button to insert
a pause before entering the telephone number.
If you need to insert a pause into a telephone
number you are storing in the memory, start
storing the number, (see page 22) and where the
pause is needed, press the REDIAL/PAUSE button.
To use the recall button
The RECALL button is of use when connected to
some switchboards, ie. to transfer calls or for
some BT Select Services or those services
available via your network provider. It is only
available when a call is in progress.
