5i Series IP Phone Release Notes
Features in Release 2.1.1
This section describes the new features included in Release 2.1.1 of the 5i Series
IP Phones. The following table summarizes the new features.
Feature Description
DHCP Options 60 & 43, Server
Configuration
Phones now support use of DHCP options 60 and 43 as per
RFC 2132.
53i Configurable Save and Delete Keys The 53i Save and Delete keys are now configurable.
Support of Various Language Input
Characters
Phones now support the text and characters you input on the
phone in different languages.
XML Override for a Locked Phone Phones now support an XML override when a phone is
locked.
Locking/Unlocking the Phone via XML An Administrator can now unlock and lock a remote phone
when required.
Configurable Priority Alerting Cadences An Administrator can now customize the Bellcore Cadences
for priority alerting.
Speeddial Key Editing via IP Phone UI The “Press-and-Hold” Speeddial feature can now be edited
via the IP Phone UI. Previous to this release, you could only
edit a speeddial key via the Aastra Web UI.
Enhancements to “Incoming Call Interrupts
Dialing” Feature
The “Incoming Call Interrupts Dialing” feature has been
redesigned to perform more efficiently.
Memory Status Now Displays in Task Status “Free Memory” and “Max Memory Block Size” status now
displays when an Administrator Shows Task and Stack Info
for troubleshooting purposes.
Configurable DNS Queries An Administrator can now choose from the following DNS
query methods for finding SIP servers:
• eNone (A is active)
• eSRV (SRV and A are active)
• eNAPTR|eSRV (NAPTR&SRV with A are active)
