Playing discs using the title menu
Some DVDs have a title menu,
which lists the titles available on
them. It helps you to start play-
back at a specific title.
First:

Press TOP MENU button.
The title menu will appear.
If the feature is not available,
may appear on the TV screen.

Select a title to play using the
K / L / { / B buttons, then
press ENTER button.
Playback will begin at the title you
selected.
TOP MENU button:
Displays the ‘Title menu’ of a
DVD disc which varies with the
disc.
K / L / { / B buttons:
Moves the cursor around screen.
Enter button:
Selects the current highlighted
menu option.
Number buttons:
Selects a numbered menu option
(some discs only). Press ENTER
button after.

This unit conforms to ver.1.1 and ver.2.0 of Video CD
standard, with PBC function.
Ver.1.1 (without PBC function): You can enjoy playback picture as
well as music CD.
Ver.2.0 (with PBC function): While using a Video CD with PBC func-
tion,“PBC” appears on the screen and the display.
NOTE:
When playing Video CDs with PBC function, only “pbc” is
displayed instead of the playing time and current track indications
on the front panel display.Also, some operations cannot be
performed unless the function is cancelled intentionally by you or
automatically.
The operations which are not available when the PBC function is
set to ON are indicated by the following symbol in this manual:
Playing Video CDs using the title menu
1.
When playing a Video CD with PBC function, the title menu
will appear automatically.
2.
Press Number buttons to select the desired title.
• Playback will begin at the selected title.
3.
Press RETURN button to go back to the title menu.
Cancelling and Recalling the PBC function
1.
Press SETUP button to display SETUP/CD menu.
• SETUP/CD menu will appear.
2.
Select “CD” using { / B buttons, then press ENTER button.
• CD Playback Mode menu will appear.

Select “PBC (Video CD only)” using K / L buttons, then press
ENTER button.
4.
Select “OFF” on the pop-up menu, using K / L buttons, then
press ENTER button.
5.
Press SETUP button to exit the menu.
6.
To r ecall the PBC function, select “ON” in the step 4 above.
