10 Reset of the phone
This will undo all changes and set back all default settings (ringer volume, ringer melody, etc).
Press menu button ÆScroll to ‘System’ and press ÆScroll to ‘RESET’ and
press OK ÆEnter the PIN code (default=’0000’) and press ÆThe unit will go back to
standby.
Default handset settings are:
Handset volume 3
Handset melody 3
Flash time Recall 1
Dial mode Tone
AutoAnswer On
Keypad tone On
Receiver volume 2
PIN code ‘0000’
ECO mode OFF
11 Answering machine
The Butler M1250 has a built-in digital answering machine with a recording capacity of
14 minutes The answering machine can be operated remotely and features the possibility of
recording your own outgoing messages (OGM 1) (maximum of 40 seconds).
There are 2 possibilities:
With OGM 1, the caller has the possibility to leave a message
When memory is full, OGM 2 is activated. This pre-recorded outgoing message is
played without the caller having the opportunity to leave a message
The max. recording time for each incoming message is 2 minutes
11.1 LED display
The LED display on the base indicates how many messages you have received. When there
are new messages, the LED display on the base will blink and only indicate the amount of
new messages. If the answering machine is switched off, the LED display does not light up.
FL’ will be shown on the display when the internal memory is full and no new messages can
be recorded.
11.2 Setting the voice prompt language
The Butler M1250 has 4 voice prompt languages (see packing which languages are
selectable) used for the pre-recorded OGM and some instructions:
Press menu button ÆUse the down button to scroll to ‘Settings’ and press
ÆUse the up or down button and select ‘DTAM ÆUse the up or down button
and select ‘TAM LanguagesÆThe currect language is shown ÆUse the up or down
button to select the language ÆPress the menu/OK button to confirm.
All memories (redial, phonebook, call log,...) and handset name will not be
erased!
