“Tall” PDF Bar Codes
If the PDF417 symbol is too tall for the vertical scan pattern to
cover, move the terminal slowly up and down, keeping the beam
horizontal to the symbol’s rows, until the pattern scans the entire
symbol.
The scan beam does not have to be perfectly parallel with the top
and bottom of the symbol (up to a 4

tilt will work).
