What is the HotSync
®
operation?
The HotSync
®
operation is a one-step operation that allows you to synchronize
data between your CLIÉ handheld and your computer, back up the data on your
CLIÉ handheld to your computer or install add-on applications.

Performing the HotSync
®
operation
In this example, connect your CLIÉ handheld to your computer and
synchronize data with the Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ software data on your
computer using Date Book.

Turn on your computer and start the Windows®
operating system.

Refer to the procedures on page 47 and enter data in
Date Book.

Connect your CLIÉ handheld to your computer.

Rotate the Jog Dial™ navigator to select [HotSync] icon
on the Application Launcher screen and press the Jog
Dial™ navigator.
Tip
You can also tap [HotSync] icon to display the HotSync screen.
