USING THE SYSTEM
It is very important that you follow all instructions in the order giv-
en. If you have a problem, unplug both units from the AC outlets,
unplug the phone(s) from the units, and start over (or see “Trou-
bleshooting” on Page 13).
INSTALLATION
1. Plug the base unit into a standard AC outlet that is near a
modular telephone jack. (The base unit has two modular
jacks on one side.)
Caution:
Do not plug the base or extension unit into a power
strip or surge protector/AC line filter.
2. Plug one end of the supplied modular telephone cord into the
LINE
jack on the side of the base. Then plug the other end of
the cord into a modular telephone jack.
Note:
Be sure to plug in the base unit before you plug in the
extension unit.
3. If desired, connect a telephone to the base unit by plugging
its modular cord into the
PHONE
jack on the side of the base.
