Using the Basic Features of
your SpectraLink 8020/8030
Wireless Telephone
Your SpectraLink 8020/8030 Wireless Telephone is designed to be
used like a cell phone on a public switched telephone network
(PSTN).
Only one call is active at any given time. The active call has audio
associated with it. There may be multiple other calls:
• On hold
• In an “Incoming call” or “Ringing” state
This chapter provides basic operating instructions for the SpectraLink
8020/8030 Wireless Telephone. This chapter contains instructions on
how to:
• Turn the handset on and off
• Lock and unlock the keypad
• Place a call
• Place an emergency call
• Answer a call
• Place a call on hold
• Answer a second call
• Resume a call on hold from standby
• Redial last number dialed
• Silence the ring
• Change the ring volume
• Adjust the speaker or headset volume
• Mute/unmute a call
• End the call
• Change the profile
