Make a call
Enter the number (maximum 24 digits) and then press t. The default line is
highlighted. If you want to switch to the other line, scroll n. Press t or o Select
to call on the highlighted line.
OR
Pick up the handset and press t, and then dial the number to call on the default line.
(To call on the other line, press o Line 1 or c Line 2 before dialing.)
Answer a call
When the phone rings, or indicate the incoming call line. To answer, press the
appropriate soft key (o Line 1 or c Line 2).
End a call
To end a conversation, press h.
Adjust earpiece volume
During a call, scroll n to select from level 1 to level 5.
The descriptions above are available from the handset. With this model, making and
answering a call are also available from the base station. Refer to chapter 6 “Conventions
Used in this manual” and chapter 8 “Using your phone” in the User Manual that came
with this phone for details.

Setting the ring tones
Follow the procedure below to set ring tones on the handset or base station.
1. Press m in idle mode, scroll n to Personal Set, and press o Select.
2. Scroll n to Handset Tones on the handset or Base Tones on the base and press
o Select. Then scroll n to Ring Tones and press o Select.
3. Scroll n to select Line 1 or Line 2 and press o Select.
4. Scroll n to your desired melody. The melodies will play as you scroll them.
5. Press o Select to set the ring tone.
A validation tone is emitted and the screen returns to the previous menu.
Refer to the key chart in Chapter 6 “Conventions Used in this Manual” of the User
Manual for base station keys that correspond to the handset keys appearing in the
procedure above.
