Basic handset operation
To make a call using a line:

1. Press the Function key and the number
3 key to enter the active (idle) state.
2. Press the Line key and the number key
(1 through 6) for the desired line.
3. Dial the number. Dial calls exactly as
you would with a regular telephone. You
can dial extension numbers, internal
numbers, or make external calls,
depending on your system.
Make a headset call
To make a call using a headset:
1. Connect the headset to the headset jack.
2. Follow the steps in “Make a call” on
page 25 to make your call.
Answer a call
The handset rings or vibrates to alert you of an incoming call. Additionally, a line
number on the display flashes, and the display shows information about the call, such
as the caller’s name and extension.
To answer a call:
Press the Power On/Start Call key.
To answer a call on another line: Note: While on a call, you hear a soft
beep to indicate another incoming call.
1. If on a call, press the Function key to
access the list of functions.
2. Press the number 2 key to place the
current call on hold.
3. Press the Line key to access the Line
(DN) feature keys.
