Auerswald 800 Cordless Telephone User Manual

Telephone Book
35
The telephone numbers in the short-code dial memory of the PBX can only be edited with
the PC program COMtools.
Input of Letters with the Keypad
With the keypad you can enter digits as well as letters or various special signs (see table
on page 36).
For text entry the system telephone automatically switches from the entry of digits to the
entry of letters. This will happen if you edit an entry for the telephone book. When press-
ing the number keys once or repeatedly, they become letters, digits or various other
signs. For example, if you press the key
5
three times, you will reach the third letter on
the key – the „L“.
If you press the hash key
#
you can change from minuscule to capital letters and vice
versa (see example on page 37).
Besides this you can search for entries in the telephone book by entering the initial or the
complete name. If you press the right arrow key
V
and then a number key once or
repeatedly, the system telephone will recognize a letter and jump to the next entry with
the corresponding initial (see example on page 38).
