Using the External Antenna with Adapter Cable
An optional external antenna with Adapter Cable may be purchased (separately) for use with the AD3700
Modem. An external antenna is useful when traveling in fringe coverage areas where the network signal may be
weak.
1. Locate the External Antenna Connector on the side of the device.
2. Remove the rubber protector to expose the External Antenna Connector.
3. Connect the External Antenna Adapter Cable to the Modem’s External Antenna Connector.
4. Connect the External Antenna Adapter Cable’s receiving end into the external antenna of your choice

Ensure that the wireless network’s coverage extends to your current location.
When properly installed, the AD3700 is a highly reliable product. Most problems are caused by one of these
issues:

The wrong driver has been installed.
.
System resources required by the modem are being used by other devices.
.
Network coverage is not available (either because you are outside the coverage area or because of an
account or network problem).
