6 Display indications
a) OUT OF AREA = The incoming call has been sent
through by a telephone provider that does not offer
the Caller-ID service. (incl. long distance and
international calls).
b) PRIVATE = The caller’s number can not be displayed
because he has restricted his number/name from being
sent to the receiving part y. It’s a private number.
c) NEW = The number of new calls is shown on the
display.
d) TOTAL = The total number of calls is shown on the
d i s p l a y.
e) PICK UP HANDSET = When you want to recall a
number, the Caller-ID indicates that you have to pick
up the handset or have to activate the handsfree
function.
f) ERROR = An error has occurred in receiving the data
information.
g) TOP OF LIST = The beginning of the list.
h) END OF LIST = The end of the list, there are no more
c a l l s .
i) Rpt = Number of the same calls that came in. Only
the last call will be saved.
j) *” = You have unread messages in your mailbox.
7 Caller-ID List
When the Clip 160 is being used for the first time or after
replacing the batteries, the following is shown on the
