3.7 Internal call
The Butler 550 offers you the possibility to have a conversation
between different handsets when multiple handsets have been
subscribed to one base station. You can have an internal call
with another internal handset while receiving an external call on
another handset at the same time.
Press the Transfer button (INT).
Enter the number of the handset you want to reach.
When de call is answered, you can start the conversation.
Press the Line button to end the internal connection.
3.8 Transfer calls
3.8.1 Transfer calls to another handset
The Butler 550 offers you the possibility to transfer a phone call
with an announcement, when multiple handsets have been
subscribed to one base station.
When you want to transfer an external call to another
handset, press the Transfer button (INT).
Enter the number of the handset you want to connect the
call to.
When your call is answered, you can communicate internally
with the other handset.
If you want to transfer the call, press the Line button. The call
has been transferred to the other extension.
3.8.2 Transfer calls when connected to a telephone
exchange (PABX).
You can transfer a call to another internal extension (if connected
to a PABX) by pressing the Set button, followed by the INT
( r ecall) button, then press the number of the internal extension.
3.9 Internal connection during an external call
The Butler 550 offers you the possibility to have an internal
conversation during an external call, when multiple handsets
have been subscribed to one base station.
If you want to have an internal conversation while
being connected with an external call, press the Transfer
button (INT).
Enter the number of the internal handset you want to
talk to.
When you want to end the internal connection, press the
Transfer button (INT) again.
You are connected to the external call again. The internal
connection is deactivated.
4 Programming the base station
If you want to leave the programming menu without
having done any changes, press the C-button.
4.1 The 4-digit base code
When you want to program the base station, you have to
enter a 4 digit base code. You will find the base code at the
bottom of the unit and in the battery compartment of the
handset.
Attention: To program the base station you need the
4 last digits of this code. Chapter 4.5 Changing the base
code, explains how to change the base code.
