15 Adjusting the squelch
Use the squelch control to determine the operating threshold for
the RF squelch. The RF squelch prevents hissing noise when the
transmitter is switched off.
16 RF signal and battery status indication
The green LED ¸ at the front of the EK 3053-U indicates that an RF
signal is being received.
The red LED µ provides information on the (remaining) battery
capacity:
Constant light:
The receiver is switched on and the battery capacity is
sufficient.
Flashing:
The battery is going flat! You should now replace the
battery, the remaining operating time is 15–20 minutes
maximum.
17 Attachment of the receiver
With the supplied clip, the receiver EK 3053-U can be attached to
the belt.
11 Adjusting the volume
Use the volume control to adjust the volume of the connected
headphones.
12 Stereo / FOCUS selection
Use switch ´ to switch between stereo and FOCUS operation.
During stereo operation, the left-right signals are available as usual
(transmitter in stereo mode).
During FOCUS operation, the left-right signals are mixed and are
available as a mono signal in both headphone channels (transmitter in
stereo mode).
13 Adjusting the balance
During stereo operation, the balance control serves to adjust the
balance between the left and right stereo signal.
During FOCUS operation, the balance control serves to adjust the
relative levels of the two seperate channels in the mixed mono signal.
14 Switching the limiter on
The EK 3053-U is equipped with a switchable limiter which limits the
output voltage of the built-in headphone amplifier. The limiter protects
your hearing and should therefore always be switched on. To do so,
set the limiter switch ² to ‘ON‘.
