INSTALLING THE PHONE
Desktop Mounting
Wall Mounting
(With or Without Wall Plate)
Snap the mounting bracket onto the base as shown.
ÐÐ
Set to
TONE
or
PULSE
to match
the type of service you have.
If you have pulse (rotary) service,
press during a call to switch
from pulse to tone dialing when
you want to use tone services.
Set the ringer to sound a louder
ring (
HI
) or quieter ring (
LO
), or
not to sound at all (
OFF
). You can
make calls with the ringer off, and
you can receive calls if you hear
another phone on the same line
ringing.
Press
REDIAL
to dial the last number dialed
(up to 32 digits).
Press
FLASH
in place of the switchhook for
special services such as call waiting.
Set
VOLUME
to
adjust the volume
you hear through
the handset.
Plug the handset cord
into the jacks on the
base and handset.
Press the switchhook to dis-
connect a call.
Use a paper clip or other pointed
object to lift the plastic cover off
the number plate. Then write your
phone number on the number
plate and replace the cover.

important operating and servicing
instructions included in the papers with
the telephone.

Note:
The USOC number of the jack to be installed is
RJ11C (RJ11W for a wall jack).
