. You can
make calls with the
ringer off, and you can
answer calls if you hear
another phone on the
same line ringing.
Set to
TONE
or
PULSE
to match
the type of service you have.
If you have pulse (rotary) service,
you can switch to
TONE
during a
call to use tone services.
Press
REDIAL
to dial the
last number dialed (up to
32 digits).
Press the switchhook to
disconnect a call.
The headset jack ( ) lets you
connect an optional headset so
you can step away within the
cord’s reach to do another job.
We recommend RadioShack Cat.

To connect a headset, insert the
headset’s

to adjust the
volume you hear
through the hand-
set.
Plug the handset cord into
the jacks on the handset and
base.
To make or answer a call using a headset, lift
the handset and place it beside the base, then
press
HEADSET
. Then (if you are making a
call), dial the phone number. To end a call,
press
HEADSET
again and replace the hand-
set.
To immediately redial or place another call
when you finish a call, press
HEADSET
then
the switch hook to disconnect the phone call.
Then press
HEADSET
again and press
REDIAL
or dial the number.
The headset indicator
lights when you make
and receive a call
using the headset,
and turns off when you
end a call.
Press
FLASH
to produce a timed
switchhook signal for special ser-
vices such as call waiting.
Note
: If you do not subscribe to
any special services, pressing
FLASH
might disconnect the call.
Use this phone as you
would most other phones
to make and answer calls.
