Precautions for Use of the Nikon
EN-EL2 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery
• The battery is not fully charged at the
factory. Charge the battery before use.
•
When recharging, the ambient temperature
should be between 5–35°C (41–95°F).
• The internal temperature of the battery
may rise while the battery is in use. If you
attempt to recharge the battery while the
internal temperature is elevated, the battery
will not charge or will charge only partially.
Wait for the battery to cool before charging.
• Do not attempt to recharge a fully-charged
battery. Failure to observe this precaution
will result in reduced battery performance.
• If you shake the MH-60 Battery Charger or
touch the battery while the battery is charg-
ing, the resulting vibration or static electricity
may in very rare instances cause the MH-60
to indicate that charging is complete although
the battery is in fact not yet fully charged.
Should this occur, remove the battery and re-
insert it into the MH-60 to continue charging.
• Should an abnormality or malfunction oc-
cur, discontinue use immediately and re-
quest repairs from your retailer or Nikon
Service Bureau.
Recharging the Nikon EN-EL2 Re-
chargeable Li-ion Batteries (Figure 2)

Plug the AC adapter plug into the battery
charger (Figure 2-a).

Plug the wall plug into a power outlet. The
CHARGE lamp will start to glow.

Place the Nikon EN-EL2 battery in the bat-
tery bay. The CHARGE lamp will start to blink.
Charging is complete when the CHARGE
lamp continues to glow (Figure 2-b).

Once charging is complete, remove the EN-EL2
(Figure 2-c) and unplug the wall plug from the
power source.

Precautions for Use
✔ IMPORTANT
The Nikon MH-60 can be used to recharge
Nikon EN-EL2 rechargeable lithium-ion
batteries only. Do not attempt to recharge
any other batteries with the MH-60.
• Once charging is complete, remove the
EN-EL2 from the battery charger.
• Remove the power cable from the power
outlet when not in use.
• Be sure to use the charger face-up as
shown in Figure 2, and do not tilt the
charger while charging.

Thank you for your purchase of an MH-60 Bat-
tery Charger. The MH-60 is used to recharge
Nikon EN-EL2 rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
Before use, read the warnings and other infor-
mation in this manual and in the documentation
for your Nikon EN-EL2 rechargeable battery.

Legen Sie den Nikon EN-EL2 Akku in das
Akkufach des Ladegerätes ein. Die Kon-
trollleuchte CHARGE beginnt zu blinken
und zeigt an, dass der Ladevorgang ge-
startet wurde. Sobald die Kontrollleuch-
te CHARGE konstant leuchtet, ist der La-
devorgang beendet (Abbildung 2-b).

Wenn der Ladevorgang beendet ist, neh-
men Sie den Akku aus dem Ladefach
(Abbildung 2-c) und ziehen das Netz-
kabel aus der Steckdose.
Hinweise zum Status des Batterieladegerätes
* Bringen Sie Netzadapter und Akku zur Überprü-
fung zu Ihrem Fachhändler oder zu einer autori-
sierten Nikon Vertragswerkstatt.

Hinweise für die Verwendung des
wiederaufladbaren Lithium-Ionen-
Akkus EN-EL2
• Die Batterie wird fabrikmäßig nicht voll-
ständig aufgeladen. Bitte die Batterie vor
Einsatz aufladen.
• Beim Aufladen des Akkus sollte die
Umgebungstemperatur im Bereich zwi-
schen +5°C und +35°C liegen.
• Der Akku erwärmt sich bei Benutzung.
Ein erwärmter Akku lässt sich mögli-
cherweise nicht oder nur teilweise aufla-
den. Warten Sie mit dem Aufladen bis
sich der Akku abgekühlt hat.
• Laden Sie keinen Akku auf der bereits
vollständig aufgeladen ist. Ein Überladen
kann die Leistung des Akkus mindern.
•
Bitte setzen Sie das Ladegerät während
des Ladevorgangs keinen Erschütterun-
gen aus und berühren Sie den Akku nicht.
In seltenen Fällen können Vibrationen oder
eine statische Aufladung dazu führen, dass
das MH-60 die Beendigung des Ladevor-
gangs anzeigt, obwohl der Akku noch
nicht vollständig aufgeladen ist. In diesem
Fall Sie nehmen den Akku aus dem Lade-
gerät und setzen ihn wieder in das Ladege-
rät ein, um den Ladevorgang fortzusetzen.
•
Bei Problemen oder Fehlfunktionen soll-
ten Sie sofort den Stecker des Netzkabels
aus der Steckdose ziehen. Wenden Sie
sich zwecks Reparatur an Ihren Fach-
händler oder an den Nikon-Kundendienst.
