Telephone Set Up
You can customize the following settings to suit your needs.
Local Area Code Sets your local area code for Dial Back.
Display Contrast Selects the display contrast.
Time/Date Sets the time and date.
Message Length Sets the length of time allowed for
incoming messages.
Recording
Sets the recording quality between
Quality standard (STD) and long play (LONG).
Rings to Answer Selects the number of rings before
the unit answers.
Remote Access Sets your 3-digit code used for remote access to the unit.
TONE/PULSE
Sets the phone for tone or pulse dialing.
Dialing
Setting Your Local Area Code
1. Press and release the MENU button. The screen displays LOCAL AREA CODE. The
unit announces, “Setup menu. Use SKIP or REPEAT to change setting, press MENU
to save setting.”
2. The left-most digit, or a (_) sign ashes indicating the unit is ready to accept the
area code entry.
3. Use the keypad to enter your three digit
Local Area Code.
4. After the 3rd and last digit are entered, press the
MENU button to store the area
code and go to the next setting.
NOTE: If you make a mistake, you can use the SKIP or REPEAT
button to move between 1st to rd digit and input the number from
the keypad again.
NOTE: To skip to the next setting, press the MENU button. To exit setup,
press the FLASH/EXIT button.
