Troubleshooting
Before assuming malfunction and contacting your service provider when experiencing
operational problems, be sure to check the following information as well as the
troubleshooting section of the Pocket PC User’s Guide first.

Main battery is weak.

Recommended Action
Charge the battery pack.
Reset the unit.
If resetting the unit does not correct the
problem, perform a full reset (memory
initialize).*
Nothing happens when the power button is pressed.

Main battery is weak.
The unit is not mounted on the cradle
correctly.
Recommended Action
Charge the battery pack.
Mount the unit on the cradle correctly.
Operation is disabled when the AC adapter is connected.

Main battery is not loaded correctly.
The battery replacement procedure was
not followed correctly.
Recommended Action
Remove and then reload the main
battery.
• Make sure the positive (+) and negative
(–) poles are oriented correctly.
Perform a full reset (memory initialize).*
• If the above action does not solve the
problem, remove the main battery
and contact your original dealer or an
authorized CASIO service provider.
Replacing the main battery caused malfunction.
* Perform the procedure on page 41 when the full reset (memory initialize) does not
correct the problem.
