Question About Uniden Two-Way Radio UH073sx

Hi, My uniden uhf radio often shows 'busy' on the lcd display without receiving any transmission or noise. Adjusting the squelch dial does nothing to improve this. The 'busy' display will stay on for hours at a time not allowing transmissions from other radios to be received. Any advice?
