our Uniden D1660-2T phones keep cutting out at ran...

our Uniden D1660-2T phones keep cutting out at random while on conversation with another party. It is not the phone company. We used a different phone and it didn't happen then. Do these phone need programming initially that we were not aware of. we have misplace our manual. Thank you for your support.
