5 You will need the model number which is located under the battery in the handset (sometimes it's on the face of the base or on the sticker under the base). You can go to the uiden website...go to support...go to manuals...Once you know the model number you can go through the manuals they have. For instance mine is DECT6.0 1580-2. When I called them they were very helpful. She said it was son page 4. I went to page 4, and there it was. I clicked on English and d/l the manual. The IC number you give is manufacture information that tells them when the phone was made.
