I purchased two Southwestern Bell Freedom Phone, Steel digital answering machines FA970S some time ago, new in the package as back ups for when my prior answering machine would stop working. The old one did stop working last week. We took both of the new ones out of the package and hooked them up, and neither one of them are recording the incoming messages.
