SBC WIRELESS PHONE...

I purchased a SBC battery, the phone has been charging up for over 24 hrs. When I call the number, it rings but the handset is flashing "looking for base" and it has no dial tone either. please help. my email# jeanette1314@ec.rr.com or jeanette_humphrey@yahoo.com. Thanking you in advance.
