how to eradicate pulse tone to dial tone...

Hello Iam having problem eradicating the pulse tone to normal dial tone . For example when making a call it prompts press 1 to speak to advisor, 2 to make payment 3 for compliants etcc.. when i hit 1 or 2 it doesnt go through because my phone is in pulse mode How do I rectify this problem Please help Philips Se 145 cheers S ArorA
