Question About Panasonic Telephone None
mounting telephone base to wall...

I have tried mounting my new model KX-TG 1032 to my kitchen wall. The base is sticking out of the wall-it looks very strange. We followed the directions carefully-but I still feel that something is wrong. For instance, the way it is mounted-it is hard to see the answering machine. Is this the way that it is supposed to be? Please advise! Thank you
