The base just holds 4 AAAbatteries. The back of the handset says "telcom 640", a red "NEW CALL" LED, a LCD and 4 buttons for "CALL BACK", "ERASE" and "REVIEW" ^ and v. On one side is a slide switch for "HI/LO/OFF RINGER", & on the other side is "NORM HIGH". The control panel has the 'on hook' switch, the numeric keypad has large (13x20mm) buttons backlit by green LEDs, and the 4 keys at the bottom are "Recall", "Redial", "Store" and "Memo”.
