5 To register a handset, first press the paging key on the base for approx. 5 seconds when the base is in idle mode. Then carry out the following steps on the handset within one minute : 1. Press Menu and scroll to reach ADVANCE SET. 2. Press Menu and scroll to reach REGISTRATION. 3. Press Menu, enter the PIN code (by default the PIN code is 0000) and press Menu to confirm. If the registration was successfull, a confirmation tone is heard and the handset number (1 to 5) will be assigned by the base automatically
